Alexandra Wander leads the enterprise-wide Responsible AI programme at ZEISS, where she is driving the group's global governance framework and operating model for the ethical, compliant, and secure development and use of AI across business units and regions. Her work sits at the intersection of AI governance, risk management, and technical implementation, aligning ZEISS' AI portfolio with the EU AI Act and adjacent regulatory regimes and translating them into policies, controls, and enablement structures for engineering and business teams.
Alexandra is an aerospace engineer by training (Dipl.-Ing., University of Stuttgart) with more than fifteen years of experience in safety-critical AI systems, including autonomous-driving safety assurance at Edge Case Research and AI research for spaceflight operations at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the Bundeswehr University Munich.
She was awarded the Zonta International Amelia Earhart Fellowship in 2017 and is a certified business coach working with women in technology leadership.
