Royce Wee

Royce Wee is Director, Advocacy, Privacy and Data Policy, for APAC, at Meta. He advises product teams on data protection requirements and engages regulators in APAC on the formulation of data-related legislation and policies to facilitate responsible innovation and tech development. Previously, he headed up global public policy for a tech MNC, as well as served as its chief Data Protection Officer for its international businesses, focusing on legal and compliance, government affairs, and international trends and developments in tech regulation. At the Government level, he previously formulated policies, regulatory requirements and frameworks on data protection, ICT infrastructure and services, resilience, cybersecurity, competition, consumer protection, and the introduction and adoption of new technologies such as 5G and AI.
